Thanks to all who donated during the month of August to pay tribute to Anne Rivers Siddons (1936-2019), American novelist and long-time summer resident of Brooklin, Maine.
Thanks to the The Osprey Foundation & Siddons Family for matching all August library donations in memory of Anne and donating extra!

Come in the library to check out one of Anne’s books!

Born, raised, and educated in Georgia, Sybil Anne Rivers made Brooklin her summer home beginning in 1966, when she married Heyward Siddons.  After brief careers in advertising and journalism, Siddons went on to publish 16 novels, developing a legion of avid fans. Haven Colony in Brooklin is said to be the setting of her 1992 best-selling novel Colony .  All donations will be matched by the  Osprey Foundation, created by Ms. Siddons in 2004.  The foundation supports initiatives around Education and Environmental & Animal Protection.
