Presented by the Brooklin Climate Response Committee
Join the Brooklin Climate Response Committee at the Friend Memorial Library on September 26th, 4:30 – 6, for a book talk from captain Elliot Rappaport, author of Reading the Glass: A Captain’s View of Weather, Water, and Life on Ships. Rappaport will discuss the implications of climate change for mariners – what is already happening, and what is likely in store – and discuss the drivers of wind and weather on a planetary scale. Reading the Glass offers a thrilling look at the past, present, and future of weather, combined with narratives from Rappaport’s firsthand experience as a captain for over 30 years. Can’t make it in person? Register for the zoom!
